In recent years, people
have been spending more time at home with their families. Whether for social or economic reasons, Americans are developing a renewed interest in where they live. Home ownership is a great source of pride, and, for many people, maintaining a home’s beauty and livability is a welcome challenge. Media Services, which publishes magazines such as Carolina Homes & Interiors, CoastalCondoLiving.com and Coastal Million Dollar Homes, understands the passion people have for everything in and around their homes.
The longtime sponsor of the well regarded South Carolina Lifestyles Expo in Myrtle Beach, Media Services is introducing a new opportunity for homeowners and vendors – the Brunswick County Fall Home Show, scheduled for the Sea Trail Golf Resort & Convention Center in Sunset Beach,
“We are excited about doing this,” said Media Services Publisher Bill Macchio. “We are bringing all of Brunswick County together in a really nice establishment that will have vendors indoors and outdoors.”
The 32,000-square-foot convention center has won several awards from meeting publications, including The Pinnacle Award from Successful Meetings magazine, the Reader’s Choice Award from Convention Southmagazine and Best of the South from Meetings South magazine.
“We have won Best of the South for three years running, and we are looking for a fourth year,” said Sea Trail Director of Convention Services John Humphries. “We have hosted the governor’s
conference twice and host as many large conventions as possible. The entire resort has private residential properties, as well as 600 villa and condo rentals and three championship golf courses.”
“This location is fantastic,” said Macchio. “It is conveniently located between Myrtle Beach and Wilmington. We’ll have vendors indoors and outdoors as well as demonstrations in more private rooms. We want our attendees to have a great time.”
Media Services has more than 20 years of experience with the Lifestyle Expo in Myrtle Beach, experience that will serve the company well as it launches the Brunswick County show.
“Because we are a publishing house with extensive reach on the Internet and through our magazines, the content of the show will live beyond the weekend of the show,” Macchio said.
The three-day event will kick off Oct. 28 with a special preview for Brunswick County realtors, builders and architects. Continuing through Saturday and Sunday, attendees will find more than 100 vendors who will provide advice on everything from holiday decorating and crafts to home buying and selling.
“Anyone who is a homeowner, buying, building or even getting a home ready for sale will want to come to this show,” said Bill Cool, director of the Brunswick County Fall Home Show. “We will have a good cross section of vendors.”
Admission to the show is $5 at the door.
Bryan Doster, vice president of Equity Home Improvement in Calabash, North Carolina, has participated in Media Services’ Lifestyles Expo in Myrtle Beach for several years.
“Media Services is great with shows. They have always worked with us and helped us out when we needed it. They have backed up everything they said they would do,” Doster commented.
Macchio is clear on what Media Services will provide its vendors.
“As the host of the Lifestyles Expo and the Brunswick County Fall Home Show, we promote our vendors at both events. We are able to keep promoting our vendors throughout the year through electronic coupons and direct mailing of Carolina Homes & Interiors before and after each show. Vendors have a platform all year long.”
